Public Document Request Update
Well I have progress to report on the Public Document Request lawsuit.
“Mr. Hamilton and WDFW have come to a resolution of their disagreement regarding the Public Records Requests submitted by Mr. Hamilton and have reached a settlement of the lawsuit filed by Mr. Hamilton. They have agreed to work together to locate and produce the responsive documents and to resolve any remaining issues regarding the lawsuit filed by Mr. Hamilton.”
We are still working our way down this winding road and I have met with Deputy Director Joe Stohr to review the status of the information still to be obtained. It was a good meeting and Mr. Stohr was direct and forthright so the effort to provide citizens with the information on how WDF&W manages the Chehalis Basin continues.
I imagine the question about now is " does that mean you will not be speaking out on other issues?" Nope! I will do my utmost to work with Deputy Director Stohr to resolve the remaining issues regarding the PDR's and frankly it will require that I and the Deputy Director and develop a working relationship on the PDR issues.
That said no one should doubt that I will continue to speak out, and I urge all citizens to do so, in opposition to the horrific policies of WDF&W Region 6 that have brought about institutionalized discrimination toward the inland communities of the Chehalis Basin / inland sport fisheries. Fishing The Chehalis will continue to oppose the continuing destruction of the Chehalis Basin Salmon stocks for the benefit of a few commercial fisherman.
