Water Temperature: 69
Fishing Pressure: Moderate
NOAA Weather: Ten Day Forecast
Northwest River Flows: River Flows
Coastal Tides: Tide Charts
Yesterday I made the loop around tide water and more folks were giving it a try but not much to be found. As to Coho jacks? Not much to be found yet at least in this reach of the river. I did C&R the largest Cutthroat that I have hooked in a long time yesterday. That is another plus in a light tackle Summer fishery.
On the down side everyone should be careful as a lot of debris is moving around with the tides. Yesterday a boat hit the old growth dead head at the top of Higgins Island. That log is half buried and at 1/3 tide comes out of the water and is rather large. Not so sure about the boat but it has a new scrape on the hull to be sure. If your not familiar with the tidewater Chehalis be careful as this river can surprise you and not in a good way.
The links are to websites for weather, flows, and tide charts for folks to utilize. Decent sites and fairly simple to use which is always helpful. Keep in mind from Aberdeen to Friends landing the low ebb & high tide will drag between 1.5 to 1.75 hours behind the beaches dependent upon where you are in the tide cycle.
