Fishingthechehalis.net is part of a public education campaign launched by recreational fishers and conservationists who have donated decades of labor and personal resources in projects intended to restore salmon and steelhead runs in the Chehalis Basin. The purpose of the webs site is to provide the public full transparency regarding the methodologies used by the Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission to set Salmon and Steelhead fishing seasons and regulations in the Chehalis Basin and Willapa estuary.
